I'm ready to get some more feedback on my game, Diecast. I made the following changes below based off similar feedback last month. The changes include...


v0.79.1

Visual:

  • Added transition visuals to the game to indicate different parts of the game.
  • Reworked how cash is shown with a "Level Complete!" screen. This helps to give a breakdown of how all cash is earned.
  • Mousing over a die now shows its value when "Toggle Values" is off.
  • Made it more obvious which buttons could be clicked on and when.
  • Added "darken background" feature to add contrast between the foreground and background.
  • Reworked how scores are displayed to make them less cluttered (more to come here in a future update)
  • Reworked shop display to make it more organized.
  • Reworked the way text is displayed to support different fonts (and languages in a future update)

Gameplay:

  • Added a "gamespeed" toggle to change the speed of the game to x1, x2, or x4.

Balance Changes:

  • Buffed "Party Popper": NEW: on roll, give x2 face value to current points. (OLD: on roll, give face value to the current points)
  • Buffed "Snake Eyes": NEW: On level up, add +11 to mult. (OLD: on level up, add +2 to mult)

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug with "Copycat" sticking around too long if the value it copies goes away.
  • Fixed a bug when "Copycat" is bought that it is invisible while in the shop.
  • Fixed a bug when dice bought in the shop stacked on top of one another.

Anything else I forgot to list after 3+ weeks of development time.
